Sohail Khan is based in Huddersfield and has been working in performance and related fields since 1984. He studied at Dartington College of Arts and at the Institute of Cinematography in Moscow (VGIK). Themes that he explores are the processes around notions of what, how and to whom culture(s) are as stories and products. His work relates to how we interpret these stories in our imaginative landscape and the ways we attempt to make a relationship with this to other people’s environments and language.
A freelance arts practitioner, he also collaborates with a diverse range of artists. He also relates his performance-based practice through work in the forms of writing, film, music, installation and visual art. Sohail most recently performed at the National Review of Live Art 09 and at Spill Festival National Platform.
